Stonebound Roundtable 2025

Tonight we had our Stonebound roundtable to discuss the direction of the community and get feedback from everyone. In case you missed it, here's a summary of everything we discussed:
Server Launches
For the past few years we've regularly offered 5-6 modpacks a year. Our goal for the next year is to launch a new modpack every month, and we will be working behind the scenes to streamline the creation of new servers. The goal of this change is to have less downtime and give lesser known packs a shot. We've now added a forum channel on discord for pack suggestions to allow for easier navigation.
Application Process
The community has elected to keep our application process on the forum, primarily because it limits applicants to players that are genuinely committed to joining the community. We will however be introducing a new measure to allow members to whitelist players to help reduce current wait times for new applicants.
There is now a discord forum section that will automatically show any new application topic. Users with the member role can use this to discuss potential new applicants and ultimately use the new /whitelist discord command to whitelist an applicant after first replying to their forum post. We have also provided a link to our current review process so you can get an idea of how we typically review applicants. Please refer to the #info channel on discord for more information on gaining access to the member role.
While we experiment with this new concept, we plan to keep a close eye on these over the coming months. Please keep in mind that this is not meant to circumvent the application process by approving your friends automatically, and therefore we ask that you refrain from whitelisting friends or family members using this process.
User Participation
We just want to once again remind everyone that if you would like to plan an event or host an activity for the server, you are always welcome to do so and we will happily assist in any way we can. Please reach out to anyone on the staff team if you're interested.
In addition, for those users looking to meet new people and chit chat, feel free to utilize the discord voice channels. A few folks mentioned they are eager to hang out, so if you're online and want to socialize, hop in!
Other than that, we appreciate so many people showing up for the roundtable! We hope to do another again in the future, probably in the next 6 months to review how everyone is feeling about the changes we plan to implement. In the meantime, if you have any ideas or suggestions for the server, don't be afraid to reach out to the team.
