Hello stonebound! I know this isn't about the server but lately I haven't been able to play, my launcher is recieving an error

[Fatal Error] :6:3: The element type "hr" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</hr>". Error while loading launcher update info: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 6; columnNumber: 3; The element type "hr" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</hr>".'

I am not able to play, online or offline mode, I tried reinstlling java, reinstalling FTB by whole, and updating my graphics card nothing seems to work. I looked for solutions online and haven't found anything useful. I do not expect for you guys to solve this issue but maybe someone knows how. Beforehand thank you! Have a great day!(:

          from the developer himself

[23:23 PM] progwml6: re-download the launcher that’s what the update that showed up last week was for
[11:23 PM] progwml6: As we moved the storage to s3+cloudfront and had to move to https only in the process

so just redownload the launcher from the main page
          JAR (universal) http://ftb.cursecdn.com/FTB2/launcher/FTB_Launcher.jar
          Mac http://ftb.cursecdn.com/FTB2/launcher/FTB_Launcher.zip
          Windows http://ftb.cursecdn.com/FTB2/launcher/FTB_Launcher.exe

get the whole launcher log and put it on gist.github.com then put the link in here
my only guess is that your AV or firewall is somehow blocking the download of its resources
