Hi. It's been a while since I last played modded minecraft, but wanted to try it again.
I downloaded Brass version 0.5.1 in the CurseForge launcher, but when I add the server to my list it states "Incompatable FML modded server. Server mod list not compatible". I can still connect to the server and the map loads, but it times out after a few minutes. I've tried re-downloading the pack in case something went wrong on the install, but it is still the same. Are there any mods in the pack I have to remove, or do I need to add some more? Any help would be appreciated.
        Thanks.

The incompatibility issue shouldn't be a problem if you are still able to connect. Could you share the message you get when you are disconnected from the server, possibly the crash log as well?

@graphika Having tried again, it may just be a connection issue with my internet, as the message I get when disconnected is "Connection lost. Timed out". I was assuming that the issue was related to the incompatability message. This time I did see some messages showing some of the other server users advancements. My internet has been a little temperamental lately, so may be that, although my ping to the server was only 42ms. If it helps, this is the log.

Make sure your memory in Curseforge settings is 4GB or if it is already try increasing it to see if that helps.

You're probably thinking I'm mad but besides what graphika said java version is pretty important, I'd recommend updating to the latest version of java 8, I've personally had a lot of network type minecraft issues solved by it.
If you think you're on the latest version, according to the log minecraft is launching with the vanilla java (1.8.0.51), so check your twitch settings.

also join the discord you mad man
