I'm going to throw in here my recommendation. Its a pack centered around Thaumcraft and Gregtech.

I played and somewhat helped test the first InfiTech, so I'm expecting we can find a chance to run it either as a sister server or main server pack. -
Till now the 1.7.10 Pack seems best to me.
Some mods remind me of good old tekkit times ^^.
(Haven't completely checked the modlists of the other packs) -
I am aware that the next modpack has already been chosen but still I would like to raise awareness for Sky Factory 2.5. It is FTB's newly released skyblock and may be an alternative to infinity evolved skyblock once the hype for that stops.

This thread is long-running for all modpack suggestions, so while the pack you suggest may not be chosen immediately, it is always a possibility as long as it meets our requirements!

Not sure if a such modpack exists, i really like the idea behind InfiTech 2 (Space and all), but the progression keept me from it, maybe a version with "easier" earlygame ?

Unabridged is not gonna happen, since I can't guarantee a stable server with some of the mods and don't have the time to monitor the server all day to fix issues as they arise. Honestly unless 1.9.4 doesn't grow as expected, Infitech was probably the last 1.7.10 server. Sorry for the silence in the past few weeks, I have been busy moving to a new place.
Is there a 1.9 pack currently running?
Tons of 1.9.4 mods are waiting on this to be merged into Forge https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/pull/2891
Once that's done we will have a server up! -
@phit Yea i run Unabridged in SMP, and on startup looking in console you will see 20+ dimensions being created. That will be a nightmare on a server.

Hey Everyone!
I was wondering what the interest level in playing the HermitPack that just got released on FTB. It is a 1.10.2 pack that FTB is maintaining in conjunction with the Hermitcraft youtubers. I personally think that it might be a good replacement for Principium. Even though it has less mods, being that it is the first 1.10.2 pack released by the FTB team it should have a good following and bring in new members. Also since it is being played by the Hermits it should be updated quite frequently with new mods and bug fixes.
Just looking for input.

Thanks! We're already looking into it, but there are a few issues server-side we have to solve first, if we wanna stay with the current concept of having no protection. I hope we can post more info in the next 2-3 weeks though.

If we're looking for a new skyblock pack skyexchange on the curse launcher looks pretty cool, its 1.10.2 and was created within the last month.

Direwolf20 Pack for 1.10 just came out today. I would highly recommend this pack. They're always good.
