This is an application for me and my friend.
I am 22, my friend is 21 or 20. We are looking to try our hand together in a new server with lots of mods and figured this was the perfect server. I realize your rules said they need to apply separately, but I plead with you to make this one exception as I am trying to set this up on his behalf. If he is not accepted, then I am not accepted. I started playing Minecraft in the Alpha days. I stopped playing Minecraft shortly after the Full Release, and this is me just now coming back to it after all that time. Despite that, I still feel like base Minecraft has not changed enough for it to be enjoyable to a veteran Minecrafter. Thus why I desire extra mods. And this specific modpack is perfect as it guides you through the different mods and makes quests out of them. I'm just looking to have some fun with my friend, so I hope you'll allow the both of us to join your server.

Is there a particular reason why your friend unable to write a quick application for himself?
Please understand that our focus lies in the community, hence we expect a little bit of effort coming from whomever wants to join our group. That way we see that they are genuinely interested and not just here to play on the server with their friends, completely isolated from the other members.If you're really just looking to have fun with your friend, consider the countless open servers or even a local host.
Otherwise I'll gladly count this as your application, but please tell your friend to take care of his.
