Hello,
My name is Ryan (MC user is Xthread), I am 18 years old, and I'm from Houston, Texas. My summer break has just begun, and I'm looking for a calm, decent server that I can play on and even recommend to my friends so they can play with me.
My favorite type of game genre is strategy, specifically turn-based strategy like the Civilization series. My experience in those kind of games has impacted the way I play other games. I'm terrible at FPS games (lol) because I just want to sit in a calm place and plan my 'turn' out. I really enjoy playing Minecraft because it's a good mix between planning and doing. Especially in modpacks, you have to plan how you're going to use the resources you've gathered to advance your agenda, but you also have to act on those plans in real time. I've played Minecraft on and off since the Alpha phase, and in my heyday (early highschool) I owned and managed a server of about 20-30 of my friends and their acquaintances. I'm looking for a good community that's not too large and is one where I can log on and just chill with friends. That being said, I do plan on being on fairly regularly, but I also have a lot of trips and activities planned for the summer so I won't be online 24/7. I am open to a discord channel, but I will mute myself for the majority of the time because my house is very loud. Thanks for reading.-Ryan
