I am interested in the new UniversIO server.

I am... apparently 25 years old, according to the math (When did this happen? How did this happen?!), and currently live in the United States of America. I found you by recommendation of a friend who is also trying to apply, and the hopes were that I could pop in and either hang out, or, ADHD brain permitting, actually do my own run there.

I first started playing Minecraft back in Beta 1.3 (or 1.4? Just before they added beds, and wolves) and got into mods within a month of my first real Minecraft world, starting off with classic Industrial Craft. I've since played almost exclusively modded since, and have a fairly wide knowledge breadth on modded minecraft. That knowledge is somewhat dated now, since I stopped being quite as into the modded scene after most mods actually started either moving past 1.7.10, or were left there to die, but I am catching up a bit lately.

I am much more of a contraption and problem solving kind of player, than one who builds for aesthetics, though I have been trying to improve my building skills across all sandbox games I play. I enjoy playing with redstone, and being presented with problems to solve in unique ways with the tools presented to me. Vazkii's mods have long done this well, in my opinion - presenting tools that allow a player to solve a problem, but do not, themselves, solve it. Psi is probably my favorite mod (I developed the first sustainable flight spell I know of in the mod, you can find it here if you like), with Botania also being a long running staple in my decision to play a pack or not.

In a singleplayer environment, I often run out of steam as I run out of problems to solve - packs with questlines can often help present new problems to make solutions too, but players on a server can also help. Is someone looking to make some piston door? I can try coming up with ways to pull that off. Trying to automate something? I do love sharing what knowledge I have acquired about Minecraft and its mods, and love helping others learn these things to. Everyone started somewhere, and if I can help someone have a more enjoyable time, I'd be happy to do so.

I often end up hanging around on servers to just, be present to answer questions or help with projects that are asked about in chat. Outside of game, I spend a lot of time helping others as well, I work online chat support from home.

I also have a tendency to ramble.

Thank you for reading my wall of text.
